Aaron Speaks to the enthralled crowd outside the ceremony

The Greenhouse Neutral Foundation hosts a list of people who’re contributing, in their own way, to the environmental movement world wide.  The GNF honors people for their work as Voices for Change and has created an honor roll to promote them and their efforts.

Yesterday, August 5, 2009 was a day to remember as none other than Aaron Turpen was inducted to that honor roll for his outstanding and committed efforts to the cause,” said Lyon Bustard.

Others inducted to that roll were notables Kelly @qutequte and Shelly Roche (Bytestyle.tv) in yesterday’s ceremonies.

At Aaron’s own request, the ceremonies were simple and attended only by a small group of close friends and family.

“I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it,” said Aaron with a blush.  “I don’t like to toot my own horn and stuff,” was his eloquent brush-off to the clamor of media barred from the event.  All but MSNBC applauded him for it and respected his privacy.  In a rare moment of irony, the reported from the National Enquirer, whose name was never learned, tackled the MSNBC camera crew as they attempted to infiltrate the solemn but joyous event.

In a short, prepared statement, Aaron told the press that he was “proud to be a part of this event and applaud the good people behind the Greenhouse Neutral Foundation and V4C.”  V4C is what insiders are calling the Voices for Change list.

Aaron went on to make sure to individually acknowledge those most influential in his induction.  “Kelly, of course, who originally nominated me.  Also the thousands who immediately rose to second my nomination are greatly appreciated,” he stated.  “I would also like to thank @ByDezin and @ZEROGreenhouse for their concerted efforts in making this a reality.”

Aaron’s hard work and humility are a lesson to all of us.  We hope him the best as he continues to eclipse Al Gore’s paltry efforts and work for real environmentally sound change.
