Antibiotics and The Anti-Social Colleague

AntisocialWhy are some people like that? Anti-social?

One of his colleagues, my friend, spoke to him and she was able to “dig out” his darkest secrets.   The anti-social colleague confided that he suffered from:

• Occasional constipation
• Painful and/or uncomfortable bloating
• Embarrassing flatulence (farts!)

He was suffering from digestive problems and was a victim of prescription antibiotics!   More on Antibiotics’ link to allergies

Prescription Antibiotics is NOT the same as the natural antibodies your body makes.  Prescription antibiotics wipe out all gut bacteria — the bad as well as the good!   When antibiotics kill bacteria in the gut, your intestinal walls are exposed to unprocessed foods and irritants.  When this happens, you experience inflammation and a host of digestive irritations like heartburn, diarrhea, unexplained tummy aches and food allergies.

What’s more, prolonged use or high doses of antibiotics can cause unfriendly bacteria such as Clostridium difficile, or even pestering yeast (eg. as Candida albicans), to grow and “set up communities” (colonize in the bowels). This can cause health problems such as yeast infections, fatigue and even worse!

The Anti-Social Colleague said,”Doctors and specialists failed to help me.  All they could do was prescribe one ‘powerful’ drug after another.   I trusted my doctors and took my drugs without hesitation.”

Fact: If you’re not pooping one to three times a day, you are in danger of having fecal matter stuck to your intestinal walls.  Having decaying matter in your body is not only “Ewe!” but dangerous to your health!

DIGESTIVE TIPS

  • If you want an alternative NATURAL antibiotic, try oregano oil (from oregano leaves) or evening primrose oil.  There are actually many natural foods from NATURE that aids digestive problems.  Consult a nutritionist (NOT a dietician who’s more likely to recommend “fad diets”.)
  • If you are feeling bloated, go for freshly-cut papaya or juiced papaya with diluted lemon juice (can prevent bloatedness too).  Enzymes in papaya are “miracle workers”!
  • Reduce intake of white bread because you do not really need a lot of carbohydrates.  And anyway, white bread is bleached with cancer-causing alloxan, and expands in the stomach making you feel even more bloated.
