Global Warming Slams Wyoming in October
Filed Under: Al Gore on October 10, 2009
On our way home from town yesterday evening, we were getting snowed on. Not heavily, but enough to slow us down on the freeway. We got home before dark, though, which is a big bonus when the weather turns sour.
This morning, we awoke to three phenomenon: 12 degrees outside at ground level, 5 inches of snow (I measured), and our furnace had decided to shut off.
If Al Gore were here, I’d light his ass on fire and shove him in the fireplace so his hot air can be used for something useful.
Anyway, got the furnace re-lit and are re-heating the home between that and the fire place. Then I’ll be shoveling the walks after we’ve warmed up again. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get out of bed in this cold? Let alone go outside to do stuff?
We fed the animals a double dose of feed to combat the cold and gave the dogs some rawhide so they won’t complain too much about being stuck inside most of the day. The first bout of cold weather like this always means a lot of sickness, so we’re doing what we can to fight that. Especially with my wife being pregnant and all.
So there’s the update on global warming in Wyoming. Scientific? Nope. Real? Yep. Oh and Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, so I guess we’re all supposed to think that the Nobel organization still means something non-political. They apparently love their chronic liars. Al Gore has a prize too, you know. :)
