Samsung Reclaim, a Biodegradable Wireless Phone
Filed Under: Green Technology on October 12, 2009
This is pretty cool. The new Samsung Reclaim is the first phone in the U.S. to be made from bio-plastics. It also includes an Energy Star approved charger, packaging from recycled materials, and more.
The phone’s casing is made up of 40% biodegradable plastic and comes with a list of easy recycling options for the phone as well as your old phone if you’re replacing it. This will be available sometime before Christmas, if not already, in most of the U.S.
In addition, most Samsung dealer locations around North America are accepting recyclable phones of all makes and types as well as larger appliances such as televisions, camcorders, etc.
Pretty cool!

I love this. Just think of all of the cell phones in our garbage? There are so many people who want this information. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment! Every so often, I stumble on things like this and like to talk about them.
