Buy Nothing Day
Filed Under: Environmental News on November 25, 2009
Those people at Buy Nothing Day are at it again. Fighting the consumerist culture, they are targeting the biggest shopping day of the year, also known as Black Friday.
The event is worldwide and involves a 24 hour moratorium on consumer spending. It’s slated for November 27th in North America and November 28th for the rest of the world. These are, historically, the two busiest shopping days of the year.
If you are interested in participating (my family will be), visit the Buy Nothing Day website for more information.
