Anaheim-based Green Oil has introduced a synthetic heavy-duty engine oil for diesel trucks in 15W40 made entirely from non-petroleum sources.  This premium-grade motor oil adheres to most industry standards such as Mac T-11, Cummins 20081, Caterpillar ECF-3/ECF-2, and others.

This heavy duty diesel oil (HDDO) is enhanced for performance by lowering engine deposits, oxidative thickening, and giving a higher viscosity under operating temperatures.  The oil is, in fact, capable of capturing contaminants so they are drained away with each oil change, improving engine performance and life.

The oil is made with canola oil (rape seed oil) as its base component and is now available on the market through many dealers.

The marketing program for the HDDO is accompanied by a bottle rebate program for their 5-quart containers to encourage customers to return empty oil containers to Green Oil for cleansing and re-use.  This may dramatically reduce the amount of plastic thrown into landfills.  The HDDO is also available in bulk.
